Metrics That Don’t Change Decisions Are Noise

Metrics are supposed to reduce uncertainty.

Most dashboards do the opposite.

Before reporting any number, ask one question:
“What would we do differently if this moved?”

If the answer is “nothing,” it’s not insight.
It’s decoration.

Good metrics don’t impress leadership.
They help leadership decide.

Less reporting.
More relevance.
